New page

I've been considering several 'million dollar ideas' - farmville, beanie babies, tickle-me-elmo and my favorite, the Million dollar webpage. I've noticed a few commonalities that I could perhaps emulate:

# False Rarity: All of these thing take something that has no reason to actually be rare, and makes it rare by limiting production. This is crucial, and I believe it needs to be more than a veneer
# Self Actualizing: All of these things are a stand in for some form of self-actualization. In the case of the toys, it's love (either the child wants it as 'proof' that they are loved or the parent wants to give it as proof) and in the case of social media, it is popularity and likability. I'm not quite sure what the MDW is, perhaps immortality.
# Viral: Only way to get a million people to drop a dollar

=My Ideas=
* Digital Time-capsule: People purchase a day and they can say what-ever they want on that day up to N characters. The only major problem is that a dollar a day, we would have to sell 2800 years of messaging, and I don't think we can sell more than 10 years, maybe 20. In order to reach the $1,000,000 mark, we need over $250 a day for 10 years
