I'm researching how various substances and techniques effect focus (and to a lesser extent energy/will).

  • ginsing
  • yerba mate

Substance

Caffeine

Decent boost. 30 minute delay. I've built up a certain immunity. I should make more chocolate-covered-coffee; that stuff was potent and is easier than making coffee.

Ginko

Initial research looks promising - scientific studies have shown it to be more effective than placebo. Tolerance is developed so use sparingly.

Synephrine

Found in citrus, needs more research.

Technique

Nap

Fairly effective. Runs a risk that I won't get up. Best if combined with something like coffee before hand. Make sure you're not dehydrated - that significantly increases the odds you won't get up. I need to try combining this with SleepBot.
