This is already off to a rough start, I had hoped to get onions and garlic in the ground already, that has not happened.
Plan
- 40 Buckets on the roof
- 4 4x4 beds on the ground
I think my next 3 4x4 beds are not going to be raised. Just dug down and filled with good soil and probably outlined in brick (to keep the lawn mower out). Also, I need to get tomato cages for all the tomato plants.
A big problem I had with the onions last year is that they were overpowered by weeds. Apparently this is a common problem with onions, I want to try countering it by inter cropping with the soybeans. Hopefully this will also keep more of the bugs away from the soybeans.
Research inter-cropping.
