If it doesn't work, try soaking the beans for 6-8 hours, draining them, mixing in the baking soda and cooking in a skillet for a few minutes before putting them in the pressure cooker. If the beans are pre-soaked, they should only have to cook for 15 minutes.

Hummus

  • 2/3 C sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup Lemon juice
  • 3/4 t Salt
  • 1/2 t cumin
  • 1/3 C olive oil
  • 3 T water
  • 3-4 medium Garlic cloves
  • cooked Chickpeas (1lb dry)
  1. Place everything but the chickpeas in the blender. Blend until smooth
  2. Add chickpeas, a little at a time blending until smooth each time

Optional: remove skins, makes a smoother hummus

Todo: measure 1lb cooked chickpeas.
