need to find decorative bolts (Carriage bolts) https://www.blacksmithsdepot.com/page.php?theLocation=/Resources/Product/hardware/Pyramid_Head_Rivet_639.xml/
- Build the flat shield (cut it from 1/4" plywood)
- Build a frame to bend the plywood
- Steam-bend the plywood and lock it in the frame
- Cut metal pieces
- Dry fit to shield and cut counter sink holes
- Paint and polish (probably 2 or 3 passes) shield and metal
- Put everything together
- Create leather armband and attach
Note that the red bird symbol can be painted right on the shield, the rest is metal.
