For Launch

  • English Vocab (obscure words)
  • Civics (state capitals, largest cities, constitutional sections and ammendments)
  • Bash: First quizzes will cover basic commands, later quizzes will cover a single command in variation (grep could have several quizzes)
  • Chemistry (periodic table) - maybe get bells to do this

Cirriculum To Build

  • Jeopardy style trivia
  • Common foreign language vocab (common words)
  • Scrabble strategy
  • IT specs (port number, technical specs, networking)
  • Bash Commands
  • Regex
  • Programming (important programmers, terminology, techniques, Mythical Man Month principles)
  • Texas Hold'em Odds
  • Curriculum builder - Create a set of quizzes that show people how to build quizzes and curriculums
  • cooking curriculum

I may be able to get data-sets here (http://www.flashcardexchange.com/) - it was down when I looked before, but I think that was temporary. I should look around for more sites, I may be able to get some help with that.

Look into popular College curriculum and requirements.

Question Types

I currently only support single directional, text questions. In the future, I would like to support a few other types:

  • Bi-directional cards
  • 3 sided cards
  • 'Honesty' questions (check "Knew it", "Didn't Know it")
  • Lists (each line is an entry)
  • Dynamic (for math problems)

Redesign

This should not be anywhere near as big a redesign as the last few. I essentially want to leave the structure unchanged. But I would like to refactor the code to the style I'm currently using. Build a back-end API and move the actual quizzing logic to the front-end. The questions can be loaded dynamically and a question-by-question update can be sent back to the server.
