Storage should be decoupled. Any binary key/value store should be sufficient. The default will be local file storage. But this would make it easy to use things like Drive or Dropbox. I'd love to piggy-back off these, it would give users some of what they want, but due to the encrypted nature, the spy model wouldn't work.
