  • 11 3x24 strips (2 front leg, 2 arms, 5 for seat, 1 for back brace)
  • 2 3x23 (back 1)
  • 2 3x27.25 (back 2)
  • 2 3x29 (back 3)
  • 1 3x34 (back center)
  • 2 6x35 (back legs)
  • 1 6x24 (leg brace)

note that 2 or 4 of the 35” strips need to be cut down to give the arched back. Also, excess wood can be used to build an arch (depth) into the back or for the seat. It would also be nice to round off the front of the seat - place one or two of the planks at a rounded angle to the rest.

Not taken into account is that 2 stubs are needed where the armrest meets the front legs.

This same design could be done with planks instead of plywood, but I should compare costs. If that approach is taken, the seat/back-leg piece should be cut from stock thicker than 3 inches.

After some use, a few of the screws came loose. Any place where longer screws can be used, they should be. I also want to move the back support brace down to where the arms are for increased structural support.
