I've tried a few methods.

To date, the best has been to roll paper, drier lint and cotton cloth so it fits in a paper roll (toilet or paper towel). Soak that in paraffin wax, then cut pucks on the scroll saw. Took a little less than an hour to make about 60.

An easier approach that I've seen is to simply soak chunks of cardboard in paraffin wax. I'd like to try that.

One design I'd like to try would be wrapping a charcoal briquette in paper and cotton string (maybe add dryer lint), dipping that in melted wax, then sticking a "strike anywhere" wood match on it before it cools.
