Everyone has two miniatures on the board and a sheet in front of them. The board is a hex and some of the tiles are upgrades. Setup proceeds from first to last player and then back. So the first player is both the first to pick a mech and position and the last, the middle player gets two choices in a row.

Mech base stats

  • Power/cell
  • weapon slots
  • bays
  • armor
  • power
  • Bonus

Bays can hold

  • drones: high movement, low defense and damage. Can attack or retrieve upgrades. Gets it's own turn. The controller stays in the bay after the drone is launched so the bay is occupied as long as the drone is alive.
  • missiles: high damage high speed, moves in long straight lines. Also gets it's own turn until it strikes or leaves the board
  • generator: grants additional power

Weapons are a balance between damage to armor, damage to core and range all balanced against power cost. 6 damage at 3:1 means 6 points of damage, but it takes 3 points to do 1 point of damage to armor but only 1 point to do 1 point of damage to the core.

  • Cannon: range 5, does 4 damage at 1:1. Takes 4 power.
  • Machine Gun: range 2, does 6 damage at 3:1. Takes 3 power
  • Plasma Cannon range 3, does 3 damage at 1:0. Takes 2 power

Actions are limited by power.
