Mech is built from cardboard.
Legs are individual components attached to me. Knees will over lap to form a hinge facade. For my hips, instead of trying to build a complex structure, copy C3PO, use fabric, wires and tubes to make it look right. Short stilts may improve the effect, also allows for the distinctive tri-foot.
Over one shoulder is a 4 port missile launcher, with one empty slot (will look more realistic). Gatling gun on right arm. I think for these, I won't actually have my arms in them, but use string to be able to raise and lower them. High shoulders give a good look (see Avatar and Matrix).
Mount flashlights on either side of Fletcher as a sort of head lights.
Need a decent costume for Fletcher; fake beard, eye patch.
Get the structure formed, then add greebles.
This will be good for 2020. I keep pushing it back, but he'll be in a better place to enjoy it.
It would be really cool to add a parascope mechanism. I could use it to create a view forward as well and down near my feet.
