Do not explain, if the facts are on your side assert and cite (disproved by Snopes and Politifact).
Challenge their assumption but argue as though they already agree with yours.
Don't fight on minutia, always force the larger issue; the GOP has stood on the grounds of racism and exploitation of the poor since Goldwater. The modern GOP is a hate group.
Attack dropped points. If the argument shifts, push it back and force a concession on the point.
If there is an audience, address them directly. Acknowledge the show and shut it down.
Attack Authority and In-Group, this is the heart of the issue.

Resignation
I care deeply, but honestly, this is in my best interest. Conservative interests don't care about conservative individuals. They push ideas that make them more susceptible, less informed. I may decry the rules, but I'm going to play the game the best I can. The irony is that this conservative strategy puts me in a powerful position. My thinking is statistical and logical and so I'm not easily swayed by anecdotes and misinformation. I'm highly technically literate so I can block harmful advertising, bypass paywalls and limit how much personal information I'm leaking. And, of course, I'm an educated, white, male with substantial financial resources and no debt to be leveraged against me. So while I'm angry about all the innocent people who get swept up in this, the best I can do is enjoy the schadenfreude every time a MAGAit gets fired, or their business goes under or a whole red district falls into the ocean.
