Timeline of our Toronto trip, 6/14-6/25 2014.

Sat 6/14

Drop dogs off at my parents, drive most of the day. Parking was a minor fiasco, but we got it. Checked into the Pantages hotel. Walked around the few blocks near the hotel. Got sushi at Kirei and got some groceries.

Sun

Went to see the Lion King. Thought it was really close and decided to walk. Realized it wasn't where we thought and considered a cab but kept going (Adam is cheap). Lauren had worn heels and was not happy when we got there. But the play was amazing. After the opening act Lauren leaned over and said "Holy shit, that was amazing".

For we grabbed lunch in near the Eaton Center food court. For dinner we went to Roi San for dim sum. It was amazing.

Mon

Very long walk to Poutinis house of Poutine. Very good vegetarian poutine. Stopped on the way back at Goorin Brothers hat store and bought a nice panama hat.

Tue

Intended to go to the Science museum, but the cab driver took us to the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum). It was fine because we had planned on going in few days so we just swapped plans for the day. Museum was amazing. Very diverse displays (science, culture, history) all excellent. On our way back, we stopped and got some food and wine for the next day. Had Korean for dinner. Went to Second City in the evening.

Wed

Designated our stay in day. Didn't go out until the evening. Went to the Gardiner for a lecture on China (I thought it was about the country, it was about plates). Walked around, went to Sugar Mountain, a candy store (and Lauren's personal heaven) and Pizzaolios, a chain popular in the city.

Thu

Went to Marche, a buffet in the morning. I had gone there with my family when I was in Toronto about 12 years earlier. I think I enjoyed it more then because I had a teenage appetite. Went to the Science Center, it was good, but a little bit of a let down after the ROM. In the evening we dropped in on MUX, a mobile user group.

Fri

Took our books to a nearby park, sat and read for a few hours. Went and got Ethiopian (very good). Went to a cool used book store, Hello Kitty store. St. Vincet was playing in a square near our hotel (NNW) so we got frozen yogurt and watched for a little while.

Sat

FPP???? Went to Jimmy's Coffee and sat for a while. went to Romeo and Juliet ballet and had dessert near the Eaton Center.

Sun

Went back to Jimmy's
