The rules is that less than half my work has to be on tooling. Too easy to get sucked into the trap of not building anything for it's own sake.
I want to get a nice set of hand tools. Before I'm allowed to, I have to setup and use the sawmill and setup a vice.
Total: $727
Also
- Files to sharpen saw
- [Marking knife https://www.woodcraft.com/products/pfeil-swiss-made-marking-knife-small $29]
- Hand drill? $25
- Spokeshave?
That struck me as a lot at first, but it's a solid set of hand tools. And I don't have to worry about quality, these are all going to be great tools and last for a very long time. I think I'm going to set a goal of getting the Sawmill setup and once I've cut a log on there, I will order these things.
