Sticky Rice

  • 2 C short grain rice
  • 2 1/4 C water
  • 1/4 C vinegar
  • 1 1/2 T sugar
  • 1 T Mirin
  • 1 t salt

Rinse rice and allow to dry for one hour. Cook in a rice cooker OR bring to simmer, cook 10 minutes. Let stand covered minutes.s

Mix together vinegar, sugar and mirin. Spread rice out on a clean surface, drizzle mixture over rice and fluff gently while fanning.
